TPS61032: How to use for 5V output?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS61032, TPS61030, TPS61230

Hi, I'm designing a PCB being powered by one lithium polymer cell, so I need a voltage regulator to get 5V for the circuit from a 2.6-4.2 voltage range. I'm thinking of using the TPS61032, but the data sheet is confusing to me. There is an example schematic in the data sheet, but the resistor values aren't labeled. So my question is, how would I determine what resistances I need? Here is the schematic:

Thanks

  • the R6 can be 1Mohm. the R1 and R2 is related to your requirement: at which input voltage, you need to indicated the low battery voltage. please refer the LBI/LBO principle description chapter of the datasheet for more detail

may i know why you want to select TPS61032? TPS61230 would be a better device for lithium battery input application to replace TPS61030.
What is the output current in the system?
  • It turns out the TPS61030 is a better choice for me, and it gives all the info I want in the datasheet, so thanks for the suggestion!
