Hi,

I would like to confirm the D10 of UCC28630 EVM.

What kind of case is the D10 necessary for?

I'm thinking that the D10 is used to clamp voltage.

    D10 is an optional component. For the standard EVM, it is not used, i.e. R2 is used instead.

    D10 is used to increase AC input UV turn-off level (above the default level of ~85 Vac) if required.

    If used, D10 can be SOD-323, SOT-23, etc, small SMD package, since it does not pass high current (in series with R3 = 100 k) so does not have high power dissipation.
