UCC27714 Anti Shoot-through

The datasheet shows Figure 41 of the output structure which includes an anti shoot-thru circuitry.  The text fails to mention this figure.  The functional block diagram does not show anti shoot-thru.  How does the anti shoot-thru circuitry work?  Thank you.

    The shoot- through circuitry is internal logic to eliminate any shoot-through in the output driver stage, it’s not like the shoot-through protection between HO and LO. The UCC27714 does not include internal cross-conduction prevention logic between HO and LO, it allows both HO and LO outputs to be turned on simultaneously.

    1. What is the isolation between VSS and COM? in terms of voltage
    2. If I drive HI and LI from a controller and do not connect COM and VSS, will that work?
    3. Is there any future plan to make a rad-hard version of this? We are the prime contractor for NASA to design & build the next space suit.
    4. What other comparable gate drivers have independent HI, LI inputs with cross conduction and desat protections?

    No, COM and VSS should connect together or low resistance

    for 600V driver, UCC27714 is the only one chioce in TI, also you can check with Fundaro, Peter <peter_fundaro@ti.com>
