LM26001 current conumption with VIN < VOUT condition

I would like to confirm the current consumption with VIN < VOUT.

In this case, this IC does not operate switching. Is this correct?

And how do we estimate the current consumption?

In this case, the Input current was 1.1mA. 

In the case of VIN > VOUT (switching operation of sleep mode), the input current was about 0.2mA.

I don't know why the current increased.

    I will forward this to the applications engineer for this part.

    However I think the answer to your question is this.

    When Vin is below the set Vout of the FB resistors the part will attempt to switch more often to keep the output voltage as high as possible so the on time and switching frequency of the part will be at a higher frequency than when

    Vin > Vout then the part can deliver enough energy to satisfy the output voltage and can lower the switching frequency to improve power loss. The switching frequency will be greatly reduced at light loads and the input current will decrease.

    Hi Atsushi,

    I've looked at a couple of EVMs, and I can confirm what Marc had mentioned above, the SW_Freq does increase to try and accommodate the output voltage when VIN<VOUT.
