Are there any recommended Piezos known to work well with the BQ25505?  If not, are there any specs to look for in a piezo to ensure it's compatible?

    The bq25505 should work with different type of energy havester as long as the source is able to provide sufficient power for the IC to operate. Please refer to datasheet spec for minimum power required. Section 8.2.3 also shows an example of typical piezoelectric application circuit. Rectification is needed to rectify the AC output from piezo transducer to DC. Low leakage diodes is recommended.
