How to exit ROM mode on BQ34Z100?

While I was program senc file to BQ34Z100, the software shutdown. I attempted to reprogram it but found it didn't work and gave me communication error 772. After that, I can't communicate with bq34z100.

Is there any way to exit the ROM mode?

You have to press the Execute button after you program the senc file to return the device to normal mode. It should return to normal mode as long as the senc file programmed properly. If id remains in ROM mode, then you can try programming the senc file again.

Thanks for your reply. I have press the Execute button but still fail. I guess the reason is that the programming wasn't successful. So I tried to reprogram it and I got the communication error. Now I can't communicate with the IC and program the senc file.

You can try removing and re-applying power to the device to see if you can get it to a state where you can reload the senc file. You may have to replace the device to recover.

I found it is my fault. Since there is a MCU connected to bq34z100, it keeps reading the gauge, which causes i2c bus always busy. The problem is fixed now. Thank you.
