Hi experts,

Please let me know about bq78350.

Our customer adopted the bq78350 to new design.

They found a mysterious phenomenon on test circuit board.

When they push again the /DISP switch and LEDs are turned off at same time, LED pins become high impedance, these will not sink the LED current.

This error is resolved when reset the device.

However, if can't resolved this error, customers will change the device to competitor's.

If do you have an information of this error, could you give us advice?

This is a firmware bug in the bq78350 and it has been corrected in the bq78350-R1 firmware.

Hello Mr. Cosby,

We gave bq78350-R1 samples to our customer.

They tried to operation, then change the device from bq78530 to bq78530-R1.

However, the results did not improve.

Please let us know your opinion on this problem.

The LED display fault that was fixed with the -R1 release was caused by holding the LED display button for too long. This caused a state where the LEDs would not light again. I verified that this fault has been corrected. Can you provide a list of steps to induce the new fault? If they can export am srec file and send it, then I can also test their setup.
