Part Recommendation w/EVM

Hi team,

I'm looking for a part with the following specs AND that contains an available EVM.

VIN: 38V
Vout: 8V - 24V
Iout: 3A

No need for any extra external controls like Enable, SHDWN, Adjustable Current Limit, Selectable Switching Freq., etc...

The closest thing I was able to find was the LM22670. I'm confused about the EVMs output voltage. I've noticed that several EVMs have a 3.3V and I believe the output voltage is adjustable on this part.

Is the 3.3V fixed or can it be adjusted on the EVM?

The LM22670 EVM should be populated with an adjustable device. The output voltage (3.3V in this case) is set by R1 and R2; shown in figure 1 of SNVA361 (user guide for the EVM). The output voltage can be adjusted to any value, within the valid range, by adjusting R1 and/or R2. Keep in mind that the output capacitors and inductor will have to be changed for output voltages different than what the EVM is set for. Webench should be used to select your components.

I am looking at the LM2258XS-ADJ/NOPB Simple Switcher

What does the prefix SX refer to?

Will WEBENCH simulations using an LM2258 correctly represent the performance of the LM2258XS-ADJ/NOPB Simple Switcher?
