Hi,

Do you have any ideas whether UCC28880 is suitable for dynamo to have stable DC output voltage? The input voltage from dynamo is something like +/-100V (200Vpp) with various frequency (it's depend on rotation number).

The frequency is different(not 50Hz/60Hz) from AC input, however it seems the PMP8509 is a similar configuration to what I want.

Since I just start studying this , so I'm sorry that I cannot give enough information.

It's really helpful if you can share your ideas.

Hi Ken,
Sorry it took so long to answer your question.
The UCC28880 can be used with this input voltage and frequency range.
30V is about the min input and the part has been used in designs up to 600V.
The input frequency is not an issue since the input AC is rectified to DC in all applications.

However please bear in mind that the part is limited to about 1.5W in output power.
