BQ Studio - "Class names to be preserved" question

Hello TI,

I am using BQ Studio 1.3.42. I wish to write a new data memory information using 'import' but there are fields I'd like to preserve (not overwrite).

I see the class "Calibration" is already there. How do I add more classes? Do I put a comma between the names? And if a class name has a space in it (eg. Gas Gauging) do I need to add quotes or something? I need to know what is required for proper parsing. I tried various combinations of commas, quotes, classes and even typed in some wrong class names and the software does not if any clues as to what is acceptable.

Thanks!

Cheers,

Mike

  • You can enter other categories from the data flash into the field to preserve data. You can also select individual parameters to preserve by using the Advanced Import and Configure Selection button.
  • Still not clear on how to enter multiple categories and categories with spaces in the names (in the pictured text field),  but I do see that clicking on the right side of the "import' button gives me the 'advanced' options of writing only to certain categories.

  • I suppose I will answer my own question.

To enter multiple categories, you need to separate the names with a comma, no space immediately following the comma. But do retain space(s) in a category name.

For example, to exclude Calibration, PF Status and Ra Table you would enter: Calibration,PF Status,Ra Table as follows:

Then when you load in the import file and view the "Configuration Selection" You'll see:

(What I have yet to figure out is how to deselect a specific sub-category.)
