UC2843B question

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC2843

Please tell me how we should understand about following spec.

Q1: IO current has been specified with 200mA as a average current.

In this specification, What type of conditions does "average" current means,  average current for output tnasition region

(H to L FOR sink current or L to H for source current) or avarage current for swictung cycle?

For example, In case of 1A(peak limit) for 20% of swictuing cycle, it means average 200mA.  Is it possible?

Best regards,

Hidekazu Someno

  • Hi Hidekazu-san,

I have looked at the UC2843 datasheet and I cannot see the term average used in the output section of the electrical characteristics table.

The rise and fall times for 1nF are give at 50ns to 150ns with a Vout of 13.5V. Using I = CdV/dt the current from the driver stage can be calculated.

Assuming 50ns the current is 0.27Apk

    Regards
