Hi team,

The datasheet states that the flash memory can undergo 20k write cycles, with hardware ECC algorithm implemented. Given this, how many fault logs in total can we expect to write to flash memory over the device’s lifetime?

It is hard to tell.

If two faults happen at the same time (within milliseconds), they will be written into flash in the same cycle. If two faults do not happen at the same time, they will take two cycles to write.

Thanks. So does it mean that over the device's lifetime, it can store at least 20,000 times of fault events without problem (say there are indeed so many fault events)? It could store more as some faults occur within milliseconds.

Is this number of write cycles affected by the ECC algorithm?

There are two banks to log faults alternately. So it can record at least 40k fault events.

I don't think ECC adds additional write cycles.
