EV 2300 communicate on HDQ connector

Using the EV2300 tool and the "bq2084 Advanced Gas Gauge IC" SW which I found on the TI website there is no communication on the HDQ connector (3) against GND. I checked it with a scope and the HDQ-PIN  is not toggled (is always at VCC), when the Read SM Bus Word/Block buttons are presseed at the "Pro" Menu in the bq2084 programm - assuming the menu is also for I2C and HDQ because no other menu is there for this.

The SMB Bus is OK, but there is no signal change on HDQ, or I2C (SDA, SCA)

    I assume that you are trying to use the Autocycle feature. I tried toggling the VOUT output on an EV2300 using the manual control under the Autocycle menu and it toggled. I have not used the Autocycle feature, so I am not sure that it works in the GUI. You may have to run the cycle manually.

    We are using the same and right Windows SW for EV2300 ? (I downloaded "bq2084 Advanced Gas Gauge IC"). I found no manual conrol menu - only start/stop and set auto cycle params, enable /charger load.
    I don't understand what the auto cycle has to do with usage (only send ANY data) of HDQ Bus.

    What must I do to operate the HDQ Bus and send anything at the HDQ Bus out. I have nothing connected to the HDQ, but the HDQ Pin must change state when sending any data. What must be configured or set at the Windows SW

    The bq2084 does not support the HDQ interface. It only works with the SMBus interface. The HDQ port on the EV2300 can be used to control an external FET to run a learning cycle.

    Is there an other tool to send data from a PC to the EV2300 and the EV2300 send this data from the HDQ terminal in any form ?

    Is there a description to use the HDQ from the EV2300

    The bq34z100 has HDQ capability. You can use the bq34z100 bqEVSW tool, but the tool only works when using the bq34z100 device.
