Hi Yoshitaka,

If you are using the TS pin, if temperature goes below the VLTF threshold, then charge is suspended. The device has absolute max temperature of -40° to 155°, which means it will not be damaged between that range. Other than that, operation below 0° is not guaranteed at the electrical characteristics we provide in the datasheet, as these values are for 0° to 125°.

Is there any other recommended part that we can charge our super cap with safely at -30C to 40C?

Hi Waseem,

You can look at bq24130, the EC table specs from -40C to 125C.
