Hi Team,

Is there low noise LDO such as LP5907(250mA) that can output more than 300mA?
I found LP38798(800mA) but it seems higher cost than LP5907.
The requirement is the following.
---------------------
- low noise LDO like LP5907
- input: 5V
- output: 3.3V / 300mA
- small package like LP5907
---------------------

  • " ... small package like LP5907 ..."

LP5907-3.3 is available in three (3) different packages. I presume you need the smallest of the three : DSBGA/YKE (0.675 mm max x 0.675 mm max). Be aware that, depending on your operating conditions, the Rθja of this very small package might not be able to support your required dissipation of ((5V - 3.3V) x 0.3A)= 510mW

When you want "... low noise like LP5907 ..." (i.e. 6.5 µVRMS at 250mA, 10Hz to 100kHz) your options will become limited.

Using the Parametric Selection Tool at www.ti.com I found the following (Noise < 25 µVrms and Iout >300mA) that ~might~ meet your needs ...

      LP38798 - 800mA, Ultra-Low Noise, High PSRR LDO for RF/Analog Circuits

      TPS7A47 - 36-V, 1-A, 4.17-μVRMS, RF LDO Voltage Regulator

TPS735 - Single Output LDO, 500mA, Adjustable, Low Quiescent Current, Low Noise, High PSRR

      TPS7A8101 - Low-Noise, High-Bandwidth PSRR, Low-Dropout 1-A Linear Regulator

Yes, the LP38798 should be more expensive than LP5907 : lower output noise, much wider operating Vin and Vout range, higher dissipation package.
