Hi,

Typically automotive batteries are placed under the hood and the temperature level there is usually beyond the standard 85 degree C.

I am considering the option of keeping the device and electronics inside the cabin - about 1 to 2 m of cabling from the device.

Kindly guide me whether it is OK to do so.

What is the maximum distance PbA Battery terminals from BQ34Z100-G1 for reliable gaging/ measurement.

Also please advice me whether there is any automotive grade version of BQ34Z100-G1.

That will not work. The impedance in the cable can be as high as the series resistance of the cells. There will need to be a kelvin contact to the cells to prevent a voltage drop due to current flow through the cables. We do not have a bq34z100 device that is qualified to Q100.

We do not plan to qualify the gauges to Q100.
