My application is to charge a battery so I'm now looking for a battery charging IC. My requirements are IC must be compatible to charge the battery from both USB port and AC wall adapter and also IC must run the System(my so and so circuitry) at the same time.I found many ICs for this purpose in ti.com but the problem here is i have to select the type of charge I'm going to give for charging(using some pins making them low or high) this is what troubling me. Is there any IC that can cope up with the two type of charges automatically if i connect either or can i develop any logic to use the existing ICs for my purpose?, if anyone know the answer please guide me and excuse me for my poor English skills.
