Can bq40z60 operat as standalone charger after be programmed?

Hi, Tom,

By default bq40z60's CHG FET and DSG FET are off. Can them be set on during manufacturing (like CHGR_EN bit) in the Manufacturing Status Init of Data Flash? In this way bq40z60 can act like a standalone charger, right? 

Right now, looks I have to have another MCU to send command to turn on DSG FET, CHG FET and enable the CHGR_EN bit.  Is that right?
