And is there any IC which converts the input voltage range (+5 to+12V) to (-9V).

I'm going to move this post to the Non-Isolated DC/DC Converter Forum (since you originally posted this in the Data Converter Forum). I think you'll find and answer there. I'm not an expert in these devices, but it looks as if the TL497A might work for you.

If you don't get an answer here, you might want to look at some of the power modules with negative outputs, like the LMZ34002 or the PTN78000A. For answers on those parts, you can post in the Power Modules Forum:

There are any number of converters that will convert +12 V to -12 V. That topology is inverting buck boost. Depending on your required current you might start with TPS54160:

You can use this technique for any device in that family.

Thanks Joseph,

I will try the TL497A. But i need some other IC's incase this doesn't suit for my application. Pls notify me some other IC's which is below 500mA with simple external circuit.

I do not directly support those devices. You should be able to design your circuit based on the reference materials provided. Can you tell me about your application?

The power that I need to design apply to Preamplifier op amps of ECG signal acquisition module.It need -12V@2A.I think the circuits that WEBENCH designed is

complex and I plan to use PTN7860A.However,if there are other converts like TPS54160A which is cheaper,I think it will be better!
