 How much is the recommended SS capacitor range?
 My customer considers to use 1nF.

    There is no strict requirement. I usually design for soft start times near 1 msec, with a range of about 0.5 msec to 20 msec. 1nF will give 0.35 msec, which is a little faster than that. 2 main things to look for. Fast SS times may lead to overshoot on the output. Fast SS times may cause the device to reach current limit during start up.
