LM5122 Sense Resistor Placement

Hello!

The LM5122 datasheet doesn't specifically call out where the sense resistor is allowed (or not allowed) to be placed. For our design, it would be great to have the sense resistor (marked in red) to be placed on the low switch of the boost converter. Are there any issues with doing this?

Hi Paul

It is mentioned in the datasheet that the minimum common mode range of the current sense amplifier is 3V. You cannot locate the current sense resistor at the low-side of the MOSFET.
