LM5022 and MOSFET selection

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5022

I'm designing a DC/DC converter based on the LM5022 and the schematic and BOM given in the NSC0990 reference design ("36 W SEPIC Converter"). The BOM calls for a Vishay SUD40N10-25 MOSFET; this part is not recommended for new designs. Vishay has indicated that they believe that the SUD35N10-26P MOSFET would be a suitable replacement. The Vgs(th) is a bit higher, but within the 7v maximum listed in the LM5022 datasheet, and the other parameters look reasonable to me. Can the community confirm that this alternate part should be suitable in this application?
