hi,
I checked the Quality and Environmental data table for LM340T-12/NOPB but the MSL Rating/Peak Reflow show Level1-NA-UNLIM. what does that means?
I just want to find out what is peak reflow temperature profile for this part LM340T-12/NOPB. where can I find it?
Rgds,
kpk
Since LM340T (TO-220) package is considered a 'through-hole' package, and not 'surface-mount' package, I would guess that industry standard reflow soldering profiles (J-STD-020D-01) would not apply. Hence the 'NA' rating for peak reflow temperature.
In the Absolute Maximum Ratings section of the LM340T datasheet, the soldering spec is : "Lead Temperature (Soldering 10 seconds) 230°C".
The LM340S (TO-263) package is basically a trimmed down TO-220 package to make it into a surface mount package. You could use the LM340S reflow rating of 260°C.
