LMZ35003

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMZ35003, LMZ36002

I'm working on an application that would take 48V in and generate 5V at the output.  The input supply is +/- 5% meaning it could stray to 50.4V, slightly higher than the recommended operating conditions.  The max is listed as 65V but do I have a guarantee of how the part will respond to a 50.4V input voltage?

  • Hi Mike,

Operating the LMZ35003 at Vin=50.4V is not a problem. Refer to the 48V graphs for typical characteristics. I would recommend operating at a switching frequency of 500kHz or less to avoid minimum on-time and to limit the pulse skipping threshold.

You may consider the LMZ36002 as well, depending on your output current. Contact me directly at jarrigo@ti.com if needed.

    Thanks, Jason
