How the PFM increases efficiency over PWM operation in PMIC. And what is hardware needs to be implemented to do this switching?

    Hi Kesavulu,

    It depends which PMIC you are interested in. Pulse Frequency Modulation mode saves power by switching less frequently at light loads to conserve power. Many of our PMICs have an "AUTO" mode where the transition between PFM and PWM is handled automatically.
