ADC cell voltage accuracy for BQ76940

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ76940

Hello Teams,

I'd like to ask you about ADC cell voltage accuracy for BQ76940.

I understand ADC measurement recommend operation range is from 2V to 5V.

Could you tell me the actual value of ADC cell voltage accuracy@VCELL < 2.0?

Because customer needs that value.

Best Regards,

Hidetoshi Matsunami

  • The bq769x0 devices are not recommended to measure cell voltage below 2V.  The ADC will continue to operate but the device is not characterized at those values.  Notice the trend in figure 6-2 and the ADCTS parameter.  The cell voltage measurement path is different from temperature so the value for temperature does not directly apply.  It may be possible for the customer to calibrate the cell voltage readings at a their range of interest but there is no specification.

Note also that the under voltage protection range is limited.
