I got a TLC5951EVM-477 HPA477 Rev. A and just can't get the software to work under Windows XP Service Pack 2.
The software I downloaded from the TI site is: tlc5951evm-sw_software_download.msi
What I already tried:
Three different USB cables,
Three different USB ports
Two different XP computers.
Reinstalling, repairing, resetting the computer.
Here at work the software doesn't even start. At home it starts but won't see the EVM.
Other USB devices work perfectly well on these machines.
The computers seems to see the EVM because windows starts the device manager when I plug it into a 'new' USB port but it never shows up under available USB devices.
This is the second board I have, the first one had the same symptoms and we had it replaced. In addition U6 was getting quite hot on the firts board so we assumed it was defective, may be it wasn't.
