BQ76930 with or without CRC

Hi Ti,

I am using the BQ76930+BQ78350, the price of the BQ76930 with or without CRC is the same, and the communication will be carried out automatically between the AFE and the gauge, would you recommend me to go with the CRC version or without it.

At the moment I orderded the non CRC version, but I am wondering if I should change it to make it more robust. I am placing both devices very close to each other so I wouldn't expect any corruption due to long traces.

Either should work fine. The bq78350 does periodic register checks and filtering of data, so it should correct for any disruption. The CRC option should allow it to recognize a problem more quickly. CRC will increase the traffic on the I2C bus so it will slightly increase current consumption.
