bq24610 together with bq78350

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ76920, BQ78350, BQ24610, BQ24070, BQ24725A

Hi,

I intend to use the bq78350 and bq76920 to manage a 4- to 5-cell Li-Ion battery. The battery will be discharged at approximately 17A and can be charged at max 3A.

The bq24610 appears to be the best fit to charge the battery as it supports apart of the required 24V input voltage also the necessary switch-over circuitry from External to Battery power. the device has no I2C bus and is configured with resistors which I think is OK.

The question is what is the best way to interface the bq24610 to the bq78350?

Would there be any redundant components which could be removed?

Would there be a better suitable charger IC available?

Thanks,

Fred
