LM5175 no load current

Hi,

I am designing a Boost converter based on the LM5175. The design specs are 10-14 VIN and 24VOUT / 6A.

I think efficiency is good (more than 90%) in loading but we have excessive current draw (150mA) at no load and LM5175 body is hot. We suspected to Mosfet rise time and full time, so we tested two type different mosfets “FDS86540” and “BSZ042N06NS” and the results were similar. Is this warming and no load current usual?

Also I assume the part is hot at high load as well. Please clarify.

Hi Alireza,
I cannot access share drives outside of TI. Can you upload the files on the e2e webpage? There is an attach file link.
I also want to clarify if the heating happens only at no load or all the time?

Dear Vijay,
I attached the pdf file again.
I think in before tests heating was only in no load. because I had some changes!
currently, heating happens all the time.
