Hello all,

I have Battery Management Studio 1.3.45 connected to a bq27541-G1 device. After changing the chemistry (Chemistry Programming tab, clicking on "Update Chemistry from Database") I get the message: "Successfully programmed chemistry. The target bqz container is old and needs to be updated". What does this tell me?

After that, I updated the chemistry data using "Help -> Update Chemistry" to Chemistry Version 465 (it was 346 or something like that before) using a zip-file in sluc564ax, and tried again, only to get the same message as above. Do I have (or does this suggest) to update the firmware of the device? Where can I find it?

Did the chemID and RA tables still updated after programming the chemID in bqStudio?

Hello Fernando,

yes, both the chemID and RA tables (and, for that matter, the output of the static chem checksum command) changed after programming the chemistry (using the chemistry tab in bqStudio as mentioned).

Hello Jorg,

It seems the chemID programming is working, but the warning message makes us think something went wrong during the process.

I was able to duplicate this warning, and the bqStudio team has been informed about this so they can make the proper changes.

Recently I started a project using this BQ27742-G1 and get our own HW. After updating the chemID I obtained the same warning as above,

a) Is this issue solved?

b) How can a fix this warning?
