BQ25890 and Quick Charge 2.0 Adapter - not being detected as HVDCP

I have the BQ25890 evaluation board.

Using an Anker PowerPort+ 1 (Model A2132) wall adapter that is on the certified list from Qualcomm, the BQ25890 only detects it as a DCP and sets it for 5V @ 3.5A.

Using a previous model (Model A2130), which is not on the certified list, the BQ25890 does negotiate to a HVDCP (12V @ 1.5A).

Suggestions on what to try?  Can you provide a list of wall chargers that are proven to work with the BQ25890?

    We have tested with models using Power Integration CHY100 chip and the iWatt model released earlier this year. 

    Please keep in mind that QC2.0 is not an industry standard hence TI cannot claim support. It is a proprietary handshake that works with a class of adapter that can raise output voltage from 5V to 9V/12V. TI refers such adapters as HVDCP. We have many customers who uses our charger to interface this type of adapters with no problems. Similarly, you would notice a lot of system vendors support this type of adapter with their own naming such as Adaptive Fast Charge (Samsung), Turbo Charge (Motorola),  BoostMaster (Asus).

    It appears that we just got unlucky when we selected the Anker A2132 as the model we were going to use. It is the only model adapter that doesn’t negotiate to 12V in our testing.

    For others reference, here is a list of models that we successfully tested.
