AC-to-DC 5V-3A using UCC28740D

Hi everyone,

We are using UCC28740D from TI for our AC-to-DC circuit, the requirement output is 5V-3A.

Can you help take a look at attached file, and give us any feedback to make the circuit more salfety and stable?

Thanks and Best Regards,

  • Hi Hoang,

Can you post the waveform on the Aux+ pin of the transformer, the output voltage ripple and provide details of the input voltage and load condition when the power supply goes unstable.

Have you tried increasing the output capacitance? The formula below gives a guide to the value of output capacitance required to get a reasonable value of phase margin for the internal loop compensation.

    COUT > (400 x IOCC)/(VOCV x fSW(max))
