LP5562 power save

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP5562

Hi,

1.If use internal oscillator clk, how to save power consumption when no LED? How to control to enter Powersave mode and the supply current=0.25mA?

2.What is the process sequence of Modes of Operation in datasheet Page11?

Please help to clarify the question.

Thanks

  • Hello,

    1. To enable automatic power-save mode, set the PS_EN bit to 1 in register address 08h

    2. Device Functional modes are in the page 23-24 in datasheet.

    Thanks.

  • Dear Tomi,
    Thanks for your help.

    Another question:
We use the internal oscillator clk of LP5562.
What is the Standby supply current when internal clock running / not running ?

Is the Standby supply current= 0.25mA when internal clock running?
Is the Standby supply current= 0A when internal clock not running? (LP5562 doesn't startup when internal clock not running?)

    thank you very much
  • Hello Daniel,

Supply currents are specified in the datasheet section 6.5 Electrical characteristics.

You are correct, when the clock is running the supply current is 0.25mA. When the device is shut down the current is close to 0mA. If the LP5562 clock is not running it means it is disabled basically.

    Thanks,

    Best Regards
