Hi team,
Could you please help to double check the schematic of the BQ51050B?

Prescott,
Check the bq51050BEVM-764 schematic for some comparison. The ILIM resistor should be tied to FOD. The total resistance from ILIM to FOD to GND sets the charge current. The resistance from RECT to FOD and the resistance from FOD to GND calibrate the Foreign Object Detection algorithm. Starting with the EVM values is always a good idea.
The AC1 line needs the "Cs" capacitors between the pin and the coil. And the "Cd" capacitors are needed from AC1 and AC2. See the datasheet section "Series and Parallel Resonant Capacitor Selection" for more details.
What is the status of EN2. If the intent is to tie it low, although there is an internal resistor to pull it low, best practices are to tie it low via a resistor.
What is the intended charge current and intended termination current?
Regards,
Dick
Hi Dick,
I would like to confirm the BQ51050B can support 40 mA charge current?
I saw the precharge current already 100 mA in the datasheet.
But in TI design, the charge current set to 75 mA.
If BQ51050B can support 40 mA charge current,
please help to provide the value of
R1= ?
Rfod=?
R5=?
Ros=?
Many thanks.
Prescott
Prescott,
While the bq51050B can charge at 40mA, it's accuracy is not specified at such a low power level. The termination current accuracy is not specified as well.
For 40mA, I would suggest checking out the TIDA-00318 (http://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-00318
