BQ51221 PMA EOC

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ51221

Dear Tier..

I have a question about how to awake the RX on the PMA Transmitter after sending EOC message to TX

There will be two cases on it.

One is a picking from TX and a putting the RX on the TX again. It will awake a system with PMA RX.

The other case would be an automatic wake-up of RX by something....

I don't know the 2nd case..

I understand that

    - If the RX sent the EOC to TX, RX will turn off the output. So It will decrease the ramained battery capacity if there is no action done by system or BQ51221.

Please help me....

Best regards.

  • Dear Tier...
In case of WPC, I can prevent the decrese of battery capacity by sending CS100 packet to TX.
How about PMA? Do I need to control TS pin on the BQ51221 by external controller?
If yes, how can I implement that if I use BQ51221 in backcover mode?
  • Hi Avraka,

Due to PMA standards there is a 4hr interval before the TX wakes again. The only ways to wake up the TX is either a reset on the TX side or by removing and putting back the power receiver on the PMA pad.

    thanks,
