Why two BAT and OUT pins are given in BQ24072 battery charger and power path management IC.

I am facing a problem with two pins 2&3 and 10&11. should I leave one pin of each unconnected or short it together? please help me.

Please refer to the schematic in the users guide. Pin 2 and 3 should be shorted and pin 10 and 11 should be shorted. BAT and OUT can be high current path, thus by shorting two pins, it increase the width of the current path and will result in better thermal performance.
