How did you get this error? Are you using Battery Management Studio to look into the I2C lines?
Here is a link to the Technical Reference Manual which covers the details of the device in greater detail that the datasheet (at least when it comes to the device registers).
That being said I have not explicitly found the error you are referring to. What is the register name/address?
