bqStudio 1.3.42 (same problem with 1.3.45)
bq40z60 eval board
connect 2 relays for automatic learning cycle
Load Control Pin = I2C.VOUT - Test ok
Charge Control Pin = HDQ.HDQ - Test ok
Charge setup = Charge is terminated when TC bit is set
Discharge Setup = Termination Voltage 2900mV
resistive load is connected
Gauge_EN = ON
FET_EN = ON
Charger_EN = ON
Unseal Full access

Start learning cycle
STATUS: Setting device to unlearned...
STATUS: Sending command RESET...

then a Window opens:

"Startup Condition Invalid
Bit: RUP_DIS must be set ON to continue"

and in left down corner of bqStudio software "No acknowledge from device" in red

how i can set this "RUP_DIS Bit?
what does this error message "No acknowledge from device"

Hermann,

This appears to be a bqStudio problem where it is looking for the wrong bit. I will notify our tools group to have it fixed. In the meantime, you can run the optimization cycle manually. Here is a link to a posting where I provided information to another user on running an optimization cycle. You need to log data throughout the entire process.

You can check to see whether the GAUGE_EN flag is set in the Manufacturing Status register. IT is enabled, if it is set. If it is not set, then you can press the GAUGE_EN button in the Commands panel on the right hand side of the screen.
