Maximum input current for BQ2407x battery Charger

Hi Team,


I am going to select battery charger BQ2407x. i have some doubt regarding its input current that is maximum 500mA.

But also there is an option to increase the input current by pin EN2 and EN1. According to datasheet if we will put EN2=HI and EN1=LO, then it depends on KILIM and RILIM and through this we can use up to 1.5A.
Will it work as my system will take up to 1A current? Also if it can support up to 1.5A then what is the meaning to mention maximum current limit 500mA.

    The maximum input current limit is not 500mA. There are three input current limit options. USB100 sets the input current limit to 100mA. USB500 sets the current limit to 500mA. Or setting the input current limit by using ILIM pin. KILIM value can be found in datasheet page 8. RLIM can be chosen from 1.1 k-ohm to 8 k-ohm.
