LM5085 feedback resistors

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5085

Hi,

In the datasheet if the LM5085 it states on page 18:

"Typically, R FB1 and R FB2 should be chosen from standard value resistors in the
range of 1kΩ to 20kΩ"

Where is this recommended value based on?

The fb bias current is in the nA range. Also the part uses a comparator so it can't be for loop stability.

I'm planning on using this part as a charger. Due to the high output voltage, the feedback loop would increase the battery load too much when the system is disabled. I would then be forced to add electronics to shutdown the feedback loop.

Thanks
