TPS63060 PG pull up resistor

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS63060

Hi,

My customer has questions about TPS63060.
Could you tell me about questoins?

[Question]
- My customer considers to use PG pull up resistor 100kohm in this circuit.
Datasheet recommends pull up resistor 1Mohm. Is there any concerns with this usage?

- Is there PG output low voltage vs Ipgl characteristics?
My customer wants to know PG output low voltage at Ipg=30uA and 43uA.
Is there a big different between Ipg=10uA and Ipg=30uA,43uA?

Best Regards,
tateo

  • For the output voltage range you are using, 100k should be fine.

The DS states that the internal resistance connected to PG is typically 4k and maximum 40k.

Internally, the resistance to the PG is:  a transistor in series with a resistor. The main resistive behavior comes from the transistor .

So, I would say there should not be a big difference between Ipg=10uA, 30uA and 43uA. Did you try to measure the low level voltage at PG for these different currents you want?
