I think that the Equation 6 to calculate pullup resistor has typo as below. Can you confirm it?

You are correct. Per the statement in text:

Vpu - Ilkg(od) x Rpu > Vhi
Vpu - Vhi > Ilkg(od) x Rpu
(Vpu - Vhi) / Ilkg(od) > Rpu
