TPS65910A31A1RSLR and AM3354 Power up issue

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3354
We are facing issue on  AM3354 Processor Power ON reset.
we are uisng TPS65910A31A1RSLR PMIC, we observed all the power supply rails are sequentially coming up as per the boot configuration. nRESPWRON goes high after all the power rails are stabilized. But the processor is not booting during power-ON.
Debugging point we observed,
  1. 24MHZ clock is coming before the reset release, as expected.
  2. All the power rails are stable before reset release, when probed at the processor end decaps
  3. Internally generated source voltage levels are stable, as per datasheet recommendation to verify the power input to the processor.
Therefore ever time when we turn-on the processor we need to manually reset the nRESPWRON signal to make the processor boot.
Please suggest the solution to Power ON the processor without manual resetTPS65910 POWERING ISSUE.pdf
  • Hi Mahendra,

How are you manually resetting the nRESPWRON pin?

Does the timing of your reset attempt make a difference?

If the supplies are stable and the PMIC is operating as intended you might have a gating condition on the AM335. I'm not too familiar with this though, so I would have to refer you to our Sitara forum.
