I need to charge 5 Li-Ion cells serially.

May I perform it using my BQ24250 charger?

Just to to be clear.

1.
I calculated 3.7 V * 5 cells = 18.5 V

2.
From bq24250 datasheet:
20 V Maximum Input Voltage Rating
10.5 V Maximum Operating Input Voltage

I thought I should look: 18.5 V < 20 V . Match.
And you mean that I should look: 18.5 V > 10 V . No match.

3.
From bq24610 datasheet:
5-V to 28-V VCC Input Operating Range
You mean that I should look: 18.5 V < 28 V . Match.

Right?

Hi Alexander,

More importantly, you want to compare the max charge voltage. bq24250 can only charge up to 4.4V, which is only good for one cell, regardless of input rating.
