TPS65185 requires STANDBY mode?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65185

Hello,

Would you tell me the TPS65185 power up sequence.
In after power on, TPS65185 requires STANDBY mode? (STANDBY mode is WAKEUP pin goes to high and PWRUP pin goes to low)
If PWRUP pin goes to high before WAKEUP pin goes to high, then something trouble occur?

Best Regerds.

Nobu

  • Nobu,

The power up sequence is detailed under the Design requirements in section 9.2.1: LDO2, Charge Pump 2, LDO1, Charge pump 1 (from first to last). This is also shown in registers 09h and 0Ah.

After power on the STANDBY mode is not required. You can get to STANDBY through SLEEP by having PWRUP low and WAKEUP high or through ACTIVE by having WAKEUP high and either STANDBY bit set to 1 or PWRUP low or a FAULT.

If PWRUP pin goes high before WAKEUP pin goes to high then you could end up in SLEEP, but when WAKEUP pin goes high you will move to ACTIVE
