Hi team,

  My customer has a few  questions for Settling time of TPS2115A(TPS2115A-Q1).

    1. Is settling time  a period  from detection over current to  protect　operation ? 

    2.  What  values for MIN and  Max of Settling time data. So typical value is only in data sheet.  

　　3． Is settling time value (1msec@TYP)  is  design spec?

    Ito-san,
    1. The settling time described in the datasheet is like a reaction time of the current limit circuit in the IC to limit the output current to within 10% of its set current limit value (set by ILIM resistor).
    2. Unfortunately, we do not have test data to determine min/max value.
    3. To date, I have not seen issue with overcurrent at system level for this device; however, I recommend checking TPS2115 EVM on customer system to see if the td spec affects their application. They can also add hotswap in series if faster protection is required.
