per the datasheet it is 0.8V min, 1.0V typ, 1.5 V max.

0.8V~1.5V is for bandgap enable, not switching.
Datasheet show that switching enable is 3.2V~VBP5, but what voltage level at this pin is guaranteed to enable switching operation?

Datasheet says 3.2 V is the minimum to guarantee switching.
