Internal R of Comp pin for UCC28C44

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28C44

Team,

using optocoupler feedback tied directly to COMP with FB grounded as seen in Figure 4 of UCC28C44 Datasheet.

What is the value of R in the system block diagram for COMP pin?

Regards,

John

  • The specific resistors in question are maintained at a 2:1 ratio, their specific values aren’t critical in the application.
The E/A output (COMP) is forced to its high state by FB being tied to GND. COMP will source typically 1mA –it will have no problem driving the internal resistance.
The opto must overcome the source current capability to control the COMP pin below the Error Amplifier High-level output voltage (VOH)
