Turning OFF LM5017 using UVLO

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5017

Hello,

I am using LM5017 to generate +/-15V from 24V input using Transformers Coupled Split Rail design topology as described on page 3 in the attached app notes:

I was thinking of using UVLO pin to control the LM5017. I can set the turn on voltage using UVLO pin, however to shut it down once LM5017 is working is the problem. Because the topology used, the return pin of LM5017 is sitting at -15V. Therefore, during operation, the UVLO pin is at 15V+voltage at the set UVLO with respect to the return pin (pin 1)

Based on the datasheet, UVLO pin must be set <0.6V (with respect to return pin?). Grounding the UVLO pin does not turn off the LM5017 because of the topology used, grounding the pin would only be sitting at 15V with respect to the return pin (pin 1).

Is there any way to utilise the UVLO to turn off LM5017 at the same voltage to turn it ON using this topology?

Regards

Samuel
